Mush in Abstract
What do you see in her? What do you feel?
This is Mush.
Not what she looks like, exactly - But exactly how she feels.
Mush is technically my cat, but really, she’s my daughter’s — her soft shadow, her twin in fur.
She’s broken in beautiful ways. She sighs in French. She judges in silence.
I’m an abstratc painter. And I didn’t want to paint a “real” cat. I wanted to paint the vibe. The mood. The shadow of elegance and the curl of melancholy.
This is my first attempt. Just shapes, energy, whiskers gone wrong - and maybe something like soul.
I capture her spirit — but I’ve come to realize that a cropped section of it tells her story even better. Sometimes a closer look reveals more. So while I’m sharing the full painting here, it’s the smaller part, the quiet detail, that truly holds her essence.
